Patrick W. Franklin

Alabama and the Northern, Middle, and Southern United States District Courts; the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts; and, the United States Supreme Court.

PATRICK W. FRANKLIN represents defendants in commercial trucking and automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, premises liability, and products liability actions. Mr. Franklin has considerable experience in financial services litigation, including representation of consumer collection agencies against claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Ac. Mr. Franklin also represents clients in mass and toxic torts involving carbon monoxide exposure and mold, and environmental actions involving CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act.

Mr. Franklin is a an active member in the Alabama Defense Lawyers’ Association where he serves on its publications and amicus curiae committees, the Defense Research Institute, and the Birmingham Bar. He believes in sharpening his legal skills and knowledge by speaking and writing on topics relevant to his practice, and has been published in Alabama Defense Lawyers Association Journal and the Defense Research Institute’s Young Lawyer’s Publication, The Whisper.

Mr. Franklin graduated cum laude from The University of Alabama with a degree in Psychology and English, and then graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M School of Law in 2006, while serving as an article editor for the law review.
