Garrett Miller Obtains Defense Verdict in Jefferson County

On September 25, 2020, Rosalind Gay was traveling on 2nd Avenue North in downtown Birmingham when she collided with a city of Birmingham bus transporting passengers. The plaintiff, Gregory Hill, alleged that while sitting on the bus, the impact from the collision forced his head into a pole and knocked him onto the ground. He claimed injuries to his head, neck, and spine as well as headaches as a result of the accident.
The jury heard testimony from the parties and reviewed security camera footage taken on the bus on the day of the accident. After reviewing the footage of the impact and plaintiffs response to the collision, the jury quickly deliberated and returned a verdict in favor of the defendant, Rosalind Gay.
